Information received at sign-in
When you choose Sign in with ChatGPT, the Site receives a stable, site-specific account identifier, your verified email address and, when available, your full name. It does not receive your password, ChatGPT conversations, authentication tokens or account history.
Why information is used
- Account administration, Build ownership and requested services: performance of the service you request.
- Security, moderation, fraud prevention and audit records: legitimate interests in operating a safe and accountable service.
- Essential account, security, moderation and Build-status messages: service administration, separate from marketing.
- Optional feature, opportunity and ecosystem updates: consent, only when you actively opt in.
- Legal and data-rights requests: compliance with legal obligations.
The hosting, authentication and database infrastructure used to deliver the Site may process this information as service providers. Personal information is not placed on public Build pages unless you deliberately publish an approved creator name or organisation.
Retention
Active-account information is retained while the account is in use. Inactive accounts are reviewed after 24 months. Deletion requests are normally reviewed within 30 days. Minimum security, legal, audit and marketing-suppression records may be retained for up to six years where required; public Builds may be removed or anonymised following the creator’s choice and legal review.
Your choices and rights
Use My Account to view your email, change public details, withdraw marketing consent, request a copy of your information or request deletion. You may also request correction or object to relevant processing through the contact form. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
